John and I made Larken’s stoup a few nights ago. I keep telling everyone I’m a bad bad cook, but no one believes me. Here we go:
First, I cut myself withthe knife wile chopping carrots. No, it’s worse. I cutmyself with the BACK of the knife. The dull part! Arg!
Then the instructions say to boil on high for a few minutes then turn to low for an hour. My brain reads this as “Boil on high for an hour.” John luckily looked in the pot after 30 minutes and saw the resulting potato squish and remedied it with more beef broth.
Yeah.. keep me away from the stove!
