Why my sister was (and continues to be) the bane of family photography sessions:

Just a small selection of the ones I have to wade through. Thanks for the head-swapping practice, dear.

Personal photos I just haven’t posted yet.

Horses at Jessica’s place.

The Stump’s nemesis, Stinky. She’s SOOOO sweet and friendly, but Stumpy would eat her if we let her in.

I rode in a helicopter!!! I can now knock it of of my ‘things to do before I die’ list.

It was way awesome, but poor John didn’t enjoy it as much as me.
John and I have made a new kitty friend around our apartment. She’s quite skinny and young, and is coal black with golden eyes. Amazing little girl kitty, maybe about 6 months old. I took her some food last night and as usual, the Stump went apeshit at charged the door… at 4am. I filled up a spray bottle and am spraying the crap out of her every time she attacks the door. I may not get her to like other cats, but my goal is to get her to quit attacking the door in the night. Poor Stump’s world is crashing down. She gets wet every time she defend her mama, and it’s sooooo torturous. In a perverse way, it’s funny as hell to see that confused look on her face. Ideal situation would be that the Stump would get over it and we’d be able to have more than one kitty, but I’m not holding my breath.
Atari and Allison got married a few weekends ago and I was honored to shoot their wedding. I love them both to bits. Allison was gorgeous and the party was a blast.

I was entering my income and expenses on my sheet tonight and I happened to look down at my total income for this year: $9312! I switched over to to check out my expenses for this year: $6473. That means I’m on my way to make a profit my first year in business. Pretty damn rare, or so John says. Only one drawback: anyone self-employed has to pay taxes if they make over $400 net. $9312 minus $6473 equals $2839… and it’s October! By the end of December, that gap will widen. So, unless I buy over $3000 in business junk by the end of the year, I’m going to have to pay taxes this year. Now, I’d much rather have a bunch of pretty dresses, but it’s stupid to buy $3000 worth of stuff just to avoid paying a small mount in taxes. Now, there’s a bunch of stuff that’s deductible, but still… I’m both proud of myself for doing so well and scared because I hate thinking about tax forms.
OMG, I NEED.

I’ve been looking for some nicer, higher-end dresses for use for work. Something the client wouldn’t be able to find or buy themselves. Posh Props has the most AMAZING dresses. I SO want about 5 of them. Too bad they’re all about $275. My wish list for that site is about $1500.
My brand-spanking-new fancy flash website is not LIVE! This completes my shift to Brown and Pink as my new colors. Claire was wonderful at picking out a few errors for me last night, but it JUST now went live so I haven’t fixed them yet.
