[3/12/2002 2:17:50 PM | Chris Tang] And so boys and girls, the campaign comes to an end with a bang. Our last two sessions have sealed that at last. Our foray to the last of the towers was a success and now peace settles upon the land. Our heroes return home and after inspection of the boxed set discover that they unconsciously bypassed half of the threats meant to deter them and finished the module as quickly as humanly possible (3 years). Everyone gained a level and there was much rejoicing. So returning back we tied up alot of loose ends, remade some magical items that were disenchanted in the final battle. Kazi got a Griffen egg to begin her aerial mount training. Corgon's twin sons Palegar and Michengar were born and an enormous party is being thrown. But this festival is also a gathering for war as our heroes are organizing an assault on the Shield Lands to liberate it from the dark lord Iuz. Little does Iuz know (and this is the really clever part, I came up with this) our heroes have begun a quest for an ancient sword known as "Mystery" a blade crafted outside the skein of fate and able to forge new destinies. With this sword our heroes plan to slay Iuz himself in his own lair and divide his portfolio among lesser gods who cannot manifest in the physical world as easily as he can. Will our heroes succeed in this dark quest? Tune in for this, the short run sequel, The Knights of the Broken Spire IV: the Quest for Mystery!

[3/10/2002 10:59:16 AM | Heather Lickliter] Did a bit of research. As far as I can tell, we're the only group to actually finish the Night Below module.

[2/18/2002 10:39:17 AM | Chris Tang] Well, I had a paper due today and John is feeling sick as well as having work to do today so maybe it all worked out for the best. Don't know 100% that I will be there next week because I have another paper due the next day but I will let you guys know by Friday what the deal is. So, how did the second city game go?

[2/15/2002 6:55:15 PM | Charles Kelley] Charlie here... didn't have your email so I thought this would be the best way to get in touch. Looks like the game is off for Sunday as Jess will be out of town. I however plan to run an alternate setting Vampire (Second City 4th Gen characters) game instead, if anyone is interested. Should prove to be worth coming up from Athens for, although if you guys deciede to chill and sit this one out, I understand (the travel time is hellatious). Hope you guys see this before Sunday, if not hope to see you in 2 weeks. -Chas

[2/12/2002 10:42:27 AM | Chris Tang] Another week of night belowing. We returned to the evil fortress of badness and finished off the last of the minor towers. It turned out our spell power was not as beefy as we thought so Scorax stepped in and saved the day. I knew we kept these NPC's around for a reason :) After breaking into the main tower we vanquished two levels of it before the real world knocked down our doors again. Oh well, there are supposedly two (only?) more levels of the tower left. Next week should be the battle royal (other than the fact that the battle royal has been raging for four weeks now). Jess has hinted that the next level alone could take all night. Argh. In other news Jess has job offers so he should be staying with us for the foreseeable future. Heather took new pictures but we couldn't get them all done so I'm pretty sure she wants to get us all photoed and a group shot before posting it on the page. I finished painting miniatures for the whole crew finally and now I begin making minis for the NPCs who fight with us regularly. We are contemplating starting a new section of the webpage featuring the recipie's from the various dinners we've been fixing for each other. These include Pelor's baked chicken and limited wish chile. Future recipies that we have decided need to be added to the list for humor's sake include Corgon's Flann flan.

[2/10/2002 4:39:26 PM | Heather Lickliter] Okay, new quotes are up. There are nine, I think.

[2/5/2002 1:36:59 PM | Chris Tang] Well, Heather's been really busy updating most of the rest of the page and making it all gee whizzy I figured I'd post this as a quick update as to what's going on in the game. After a grueling 3 weeks out of game and 2 days in game we have sucessfully breached the fortress of the main bad guy at the end of the module (trying not to give away too much for those of you on the campaign trail). We fought as hard as we could and depleted every single resource we had on us and still did not defeat them. On the bright side we found a back door in so we've returned to the surface to sleep for one night before teleporting back and sneaking in. The good news: we've taken out most of the preparations they're making to subjugate the surface world. The bad news: now they know we're coming and they have time to refresh and to prepare to defend what they have left. Next week is going to be knock down drag out and hopefully we'll finally finish the adventure. As a side note, Kazi got mind controlled and killed Scorax, they're both better now though. On some personal notes for the game session, Charlie fixed a pot of limited wish Chile and we all chowed down on the spicy goodness. There is some talk of they're being some new photos given a change in roster (we miss you Rob!) and to show the fact that half the groups hair is different now (hopefully this photo shoot I won't have the insane smile on my face).

[2/3/2002 12:46:12 AM | Heather Lickliter] Okay... after much more work, the new quotes are up, and all of them (old and new) are now in MP3 format, will will make them faster to download, faster to page load, and easier to play if saved. They also take up much less space. I went from 40MB to 7MB of sound files. The NPC page has been updated with better descriptions, the extras page has been swept of all dead links, and the character page has been updated with Chris's new paragraph on himself.

[12/30/2001 12:54:36 AM | Heather Lickliter] Okay, after much work, there are quotes and drawings.

[11/5/2001 1:56:45 PM | Heather Lickliter] I'm sooo pissed off. No quotes because of my stupid cats. Eh. I still love them, but I still have a quite dead tape recorder.

[10/29/2001 12:58:44 PM | Heather Lickliter] That sounds great Chris. I'm not sure how much of a help I can be, since I wasn't there for the start of it, and I can't keep the details of who's who straight in my head. If anyone gets some done, send them to me via e-mail, and I'll get them up on the page. I'm also still working on drawings for the page, so hopefull you all get to see those soon as well.

[10/25/2001 10:55:57 AM | Chris Tang] So with the Mage game this weekend on Sunday and Jess needing to get to bed a reasonable hour are we having a game or not? I'm okay if the answer is no but having a heads up would be nice. Also I think we need to start writing in descriptions of NPCs so that we can take that burden off of Jess' shoulders but we can still have that aspect on the web page. Let's say that everyone who has followers or family is responsible for them. Who else is left? The Green Dragon, One-eyed Eugene, Kwieper, the weird druid lady, Lintern, Snagger, old PCs and NPCs gone by (such as Ferault). I guess that means its up to me to do the Ellmayn family, Daphne, Kononto and crew, Hralthan, Father Rowlus. Rob, you want to join in the action by doing Kieran? Ian of course gets the wacky troupe of elves, Mike gets all his followers, Charlie - since you're the dragon why don't you do the Green dragon. Any volunteers for others? Anybody I'm missing?

[10/17/2001 1:58:17 PM | Heather Lickliter] New quotes!!! Yay for me!

[9/26/2001 7:54:48 PM | Heather Lickliter] I've gotten to thinking... I want Kaze to have functional wings much more than I want her to find an owl... Wings just look so much neater. Besides, it'd give me an excuse to draw wings on her like I've been wanting to for the past 3 months.

[9/15/2001 11:06:04 PM | Robert Fouts] Aha! My description is in! Aha!

[9/14/2001 2:27:55 PM | Heather Lickliter] Arg... haven't had time to put up quotes, ran out of batteries again. Need a 3 volt wall adaptor. Going out of town until later sunday, so.. no quotes this week. Sorry sorry.

[9/10/2001 7:24:19 PM | Heather Lickliter] OOkay.. List of what i need from: Jess: List of NPC's and why they're soo cool. Rob: Desription of Chi'oon Charlie: Copy of the Journal and that's it. Besides a life.. or some skittles.

[9/10/2001 10:09:58 AM | Heather Lickliter] Oooo... I've got two full tapes to listen to! Much happy am I, and much funny it will be. :)

[9/7/2001 12:03:19 AM | Corey Dixon] Don't worry, Chris. You didn't miss the game. It's true, there was no game, but as far as I know there will be one Sunday this week. Let's keep in touch though, of course, just in case. Hope to see everyone Sunday!

[9/6/2001 8:23:38 AM | Chris Tang] So...did I miss the game? I talked to Jess on Saturday and he said there was no game but then I saw no Jess or Mike on Sunday so I'm thinking there maybe was game. Guys?

[8/29/2001 9:42:38 PM | Heather Lickliter] Listreth is never going to get any better if we don't take her anywhere. We've taken a decently cool fighter away from her people, and left her at home to get harassed while we go off to beat shit out of things. Then we come back and tell her fighting to defend herself is good, but then we leave here there again. Makes no sense to me. (And I go to work labor day, i'm pretty sure.)

[8/29/2001 8:58:50 AM | Chris Tang] I agree that we should definitely be taking help Heather but I was thinking along the lines of Father Rowlus, Hralthan, Squire Hanly, even Kieran if I didn't think the keep would fall apart. Maybe Eugene and a group of his crack troops. Galamith if we can find him. There's a handful of PCs who are good in combat who we need to leave behind for the stability of Haranshire but other than that it's time to go to work. Incidentally, it would be best for all concerned if we did a scouting mission now that we have a direct line to the Glass Pool beyond the border guard, we need to see what is up there so we can plan the best possible strategy. This may constitute a good portion of the next game session but fortunately the next day is labor day (yay!)

[8/13/2001 4:37:31 PM | Heather Lickliter] I think you are right, Chris. Anyone we bring with us is going to be put into danger for no reason. I think that includes Listreth, but we may want to bring her along, to give her a chance to advance in her skills. ::shrug::

[8/13/2001 10:29:29 AM | Chris Tang] Corey, we don't mind you taking out the dragon the way you did. I'm glad noone was killed or maimed in the ensuing process. We had just built up for so long that I expected it to be a harder won battle. Jess was right, we should have tackled it earlier. This, however lends credence to my theory that we should take on the Glass Pool by ourselves and not endanger an army that we raise.

[8/7/2001 5:02:42 PM | Corey Dixon] Sorry guys, I'll stick to making people wholesomely beefy and save those b'nasty f'huge spells for speshul times... b'doo. It's just this time we -started- the fight when I supposed to be home so I pulled out all my tricks to end it as quickly as possible. Hopefully from now on that won't be a problem.

[8/6/2001 3:14:43 PM | Heather Lickliter] That was so anti-climactic. ::grin:: I was all set to shoot hell out the dragon with my +4 armor-piercing arrows, but.. "true strike, disentigrate!".. This is showing me that we need to shoot hell out of the Glass Pool before it gets too easy. Now that we all know my breasts defy gravity and the toilet seat is ice cold, let me just turn red for a bit. Unfortunantly, both of those priceless bits of Heather were lost in the great battery death of August 5th.

[8/5/2001 3:22:02 PM | Heather Lickliter] I'm very excited about this coming game. If all goes as planned (which never happens, but...) we'll be a shadow dragon less than we used to be. Much good.

[8/2/2001 11:22:00 PM | Heather Lickliter] It's my birthday today! I'm now 22!

[7/31/2001 5:18:51 PM | John Larkin] Alright, alright . . . .I'm here. Tell those &#%@* monkeys to get off of me.

[7/26/2001 1:09:54 PM | Chris Tang] In a nutshell: (1) Palantare and Vincent chased down Listreth and convinced here to come back home. She had killed the guard because he tried to rape her (2) Corgon and Daphne visited Lintern to get the ok on building up the army. Lintern is beginning a college at his keep to be a sort of non-country war college from which we can recruit good officers loyal to us. Corgon and he are working out the details of building up an army and possibly an non-military education programs for the college (3) Vincent now has Analyze Dweomer - Kazi's bow adds poison to the arrows it shoots (4) A mission was sent to the Svirfneblin city. They traded for gems and knowledge (can't remember what but Kumazi learned some new technique) (5) Corgon's slew of low level followers have showed up and they are a Flan mercenary company (go figure) and Corgon made statements to them and the rest of the regular keep troops to the effect that messing with Listreth or any of the other weirdos in the keep would be dealt with harshly (6) the crew chased the master vampire out of Haranshire and sent him back to Iuz. This is not the best turn of events but at least he's out of our hair for awhile. All this being said we basically have consolidated ourselves and are preparing to take on the Shadow Dragon next. Corgon is currently laboring under the idea that it would be possible to take on the City of the Glass Pool with just the party and succeed. Whew!

[7/25/2001 12:39:48 PM | Robert Fouts] So, anyone want to fill me in on what happened last game?

[7/18/2001 3:40:54 PM | Robert Fouts] Yes, very cool. Now if we can just convince everyone else to join.... ~gets out his spikey bat~

[7/17/2001 2:22:46 PM | Heather Lickliter] Damn.. Everyone needs to change the time in the profile. Hit.. team, go up to the top right corner and hit "edit my profile", and select easern time, not pacific.

[7/17/2001 1:39:26 PM | Chris Tang] Okay, I'm on the blog now. This is pretty cool Heather :)

[7/17/2001 12:30:20 PM | Robert Fouts] Well hey all.
