2705 I’m all moved, and busy unpacking. I’m not going to put up photos of my place right now, because my page is already at massive size. I don’t need more than I have to put up. 🙂 Now all I have to do is manage to unpack, fix the problems with the MaskMaker’s page, finish my Four Seasons, and finally finish the new art page. As far as Halloween, you see the photos to the left and below. I finished my peacock costume about a day before the party, and it was so tough. I’m almost tired of elaborate costumes. I think next year I’ll do something totally simple. Maybe I’ll copy the cute Snow White. Anyway, this time I dragged Meggie with me to MY party. We had tons of fun. John won the best costume award for his costume of the Sweedish Chef. I was at least in the finals, which is cool. I was really impressed with him. For all he claims to be a private person, he sure knows how to play a crowd. Atari delivered his usual basket of hilarious one-liners, and the costume contests were a hoot. A good time was had by all.
After the contest was over, Megan and I changed out of our fucking freezing costumes so we could mingle in relative comfort. The highlight of the party for me was when I was outside on the deck. I hugged Atari, claiming that whoever invented pants should be elevated to sainthood. He turned and introduced me to a guy named Mad Joe, and said “You remember Arkham, right?” Mad Joe nods vigorously, grinning and giggling and says “Yeah, he’s a funny bastard.” Atari says “Well, this is Cricket, the woman who’s managed to capture his heart.” Mad Joe looks at me with respect and says “Wow. From what I know of Arkham, that’s quite a feat.” I blushed like hell and stammered something, but I have no idea what it was. I was just so pleased. I don’t think I’ve ‘captured’ his heart, but I do know I’m totally in love. ::girlish, lovestruck, sloppy grin::
