Around the world 2004

Last night was Around the World, PsiU’s party of new and exciting countries and drinks. The people running countries bring in food and drink belonging to their country, and serve it to wishing to try. It costs $5 for a passport (and no one in the countries will allow you in without one), so it’s a great time for cheap. The highlight of the party is always Germany’s setting of booze on fire. Take a sugar cone, coat it in booze, set it on fire over more booze in a pot, and pour even more flaming booze on it. Wonderful! I had a lot of fun talking with some old friends and meeting some new ones. This year we had: Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Cuba, Wonderland, Zombonia, Sweeden, Margaritaville, Brazil and Mardi-Gras. Next year I want to run either Japan (sake and suhi and Geisha stuff) or Heaven (angel food cake and wings and some sort of light drink). 🙂 You can see all of the photos in the ATW album.
