Glad can

So, I LOVE Gladiolus flowers. They’ve been my very favorite flowers ever since I was a kid. I even attempted to plant some in the harsh Georgia clay a few years ago. I got a few pretty stalks, but the sun murdered them quickly. Anyway, the local grocery store has some in the summers for sale, in bunches of 10 or so. I keep passing them and wanting to take pictures of or with them, but I can’t really justify spending too much money on flowers. So, yesterday night John and I are in the store buying food and I walk by the Glads like I always do, but today they are 3 bunches of 10 of $10. That’s 30 stems for $10! I babble all about them to John, and he agrees to get some the next morning. I tell him I want red ones. 🙂 So, this morning John comes back with 30 red Gladiolus stalks. Problem is: I only have one vase. Whoops. The conversation went a little like this:

Him: Where are you going to put the other two bunches?
Me: Uh.. I have no idea.
Him: :silence:
Me: I don’t have any buckets or anything…
Him: What about in the toilet?

Yes folks, I have flowers in my toilet, waiting for a daylight photoshoot on Sunday.
