Dreaming…

I had some interesting ones last night!

I dreamed that John and I were helping his mom move up from PTC to Athens, and she was renting in the old (and somewhat trashy) place that John used to rent in. She wanted to make some repairs and the renter told her he’d reimburse her for $10K in materials, but that she’d have to do the labor herself or with us. We were chatting about how tearing out the counters in the kitchen and replacing them would be good, but that replacing them with granite would be over-improving for the area.

That dream morphed into a dream about John and I having a baby. I dreamed that I’d just delivered our daughter, and then I was heading for my camera to get some smashy newborn photos and BLAM!, she was 6 months old and sitting up. I was so mad I was cheated out of smashy photos.

Then John and I were at Disneyworld and they’d installed a high powered air mattress between two pagodas as a ride. They’d poked holes in the air mattress below and it made a stream of air upwards, then put umbrellas in the top pagoda and opened one side. You’d grab an umbrella and open it, then step out and glide down to the other pagoda. It would have been an awesome ride, except that there were no umbrellas that worked for me, so I went off in search of one. I went into a jail and climbed a wall and under some pillows there was a set of Batman cape wings. I grabbed them and made my escape, but they didn’t work as well as I was hoping. I wanted to really fly with them, but all I could do was glide. Adam Savage (from Mythbusters) was there doing some auctions for people, so I ran up to him and talked to hm about buying them from me. He was so excited that he wanted to try them out right away. I woke up as he was jumping off the roof with the Batman wings on.
