Mom, it followed me home

Well, this weekend has been busy. I worked all day Friday, and 10-3 on Saturday. I went to go take pictures of one of our customers for something he wanted. So, I’m on my way there and I call him to get directions and he’s like “Can you kill some time on the way here? My washer just blew up!” So I stop off in this little tiny shopping center and head into the BI-LO to get some sugar, then went into the ‘Komix Kastle’ to see if they had any SIP. They guy said he could order me the trade paperbacks if I wanted them. He asked me what else I read, and then handed me a copy of “The Preacher” (a seriously whacked story about a guy that accidentally got the powers of God) through which I giggled. Then he asks me if I model. Prepared for the question, I say “I enjoy my brains more than I do my looks.” or something like that, and he was impressed. We got to talking, and he says he’s doing a Con.. sort of. He’s doing a Martial Arts and Action Cinematography Con in Atlanta. He’s wanting me to maybe do some drawings for fliers and web design and maybe more. It’s exciting. I’ve never been part of something big, and I want to.

My mom came up to see me today and we went to wander about in the Botanical Gardens. We both molested the lizard population and got pictures. It was a fun day outside in warm weather. I came back and took some boxes outside to the trash since it wasn’t freaking cold outside. 8893While outside, I scared a bunny that was grazing a bit on some pansies nearby. I put the boxes in the trash, and went to go look for the bunny, since it was very obviously NOT a wild bunny, because it was white with a black stripe down it’s back, just like a store bunny. Well, I found it, and caught it (after a long romp through the bushes) and put it in my bathroom. After a panicked call to Basil (who has bunnies) and a trip to Wal-Mart for some fresh veggies and bunny supplies, I have a bunny in my bathroom. He’s a really funny character. He tried to hump Gabriel, and chased Maddie all over my apartment. He runs little circles around my feet, and stands up to greet me when I peek over the barrier to the bathroom. He loves to have his cheeks scratched on and his ears rubbed. He’ll play with my pants until I reach down and pet him. He’s a real cutie! I don’t know if I’m going to keep him, but.. I’m learning about bunnies really fast. 🙂
