Four Seasons coming well

DISCLAIMER: This post is full of spelling errors, because I’ve taken out my contacts and cannot see what I’m typing.
For those of you who keep up with what I’m doing art-wise, you know that I’m working very hard on the personification of the Four Seasons. Well, as of now, everyone but Autumn is in the final drawing stages. After drawing comes color, and after colors come the new art site. I have to say, I’m very excited about that. So, for those of you who care, I thought I’d let you in on my head. I don’t want to post pictures of them before they’re done, so you’ll have to use your imagination.

Site: Imagine your monitor screen divided into horizontal thirds. Now, make the middle third a bit larger than the other two, and put a pretty girl on the left side, and a text table on the right. Now imagine that said pretty girl is a Season, and that the site colors and backgrounds correspond to her. For example, if it’s Winter there on the left, the rest of the site will be lavender, ice blue and white, with a snowflake theme. If however, it happens to be Autumn, the site will be red and gold and brown, with a leafy theme to it. Now, the Seasons will change according to the seasons here. If it’s summer here, it’s Summer on the site. If it’s winter here, it’ll be Winter on the site. I’d briefly toyed with the idea of doing night and day seasons, but I don’t think I want to bother. Four is hard enough already. I don’t need eight.

Spring: Imagine a girl (duh.. of course it a girl) facing toward the left, her face turned at a 3/4 view towards the reader/viewer. Her face is tipped up, as if to bathe in the light, and her eyes are closed. Her left hand is held up, her fingertips brushing the skin just above her breasts. Her right hand is held down and back, as if sweeping in the wind. Her waist-length hair is tied loosely at her neck, and is blowing a bit in the wind. She’s wearing a loose empire waited dress, tied with a ribbon that also bows a bit in the breeze. As of now, the only type of ornamentation she’s wearing is the dress and a flower tucked behind her ear.

Winter: Imagine a girl (again.. duh) facing the reader head on, but her body is turned very slightly to the left. She’s got her right hand up, tucking a bit of hair behind her ear, but her left is at her shoulder (for now. she may end up holding something.. a stick, a flower..?). Her hair is behind her shoulder on the right side, but in front of it on the left, showing that it’s a little above her breasts in length. Her eyes are open and toward the reader, her lips slightly parted. She wears a very elaborate dress consisting of an under part and a sheer over part. The under is a semi slinky sating thing, form fitting, but the over is empire waisted again. All of the dress of held up by three straps on each shoulder, connecting to an upside-down triangle in the middle of her chest. The triangle is actually a swan with it’s wings out and head tucked in (wings.. I had to). She has a scarf-like swath of fabric held in the crook of each arm, which connects behind her, like an opera dress might.

Summer: Since I was listening to Shakira’s “Ojos Asi” at the time I was working on this one, she’s dancing. She got her head tipped down, but her eyes are looking directly at the reader. She’s facing forward, but her body is turned toward the right. Her hair is a bouncy type of semi-curly with a few ringlets towards the end. Her right hand is up at her temple, but pointed away (take your right hand, hold the back of your wrist to your right temple, and point your fingers at a 45 degree angle to the up and to the right. Pretend you’re holding a bit of silk in you fingers and that you’re dancing. it may feel silly, but it looks good.) from her head. Her left shoulder is pulled up, her left arm is held rigidly at her side, because she’s got the other side of that pretend silk in her left hand. Summer is wearing a very short and form fitting dress. There are over the shoulder straps to hold it up, but there are also bits of sheer fabric that hang loosely over her upper arm. She has a very stylized sun at the front of her skirt, and another on her chest.

Autumn: I’ve been particularly uninspired when it comes to Autumn, and I really don’t know why… For now, she’s facing to the left, but her body is turned to the right. It almost looks as if she could be looking over her shoulder, but instead her eyes are turned up and to the left. Her waist length hair will be blowing in the wind to the right. I don’t know what her arms are doing yet, and since she’s nude right now, there’s no dress to describe.
