Dammit ears

The Stump is SO crazy expressive. She talks, wags her tail in super-turbo when pissed, smiles when spoken to. But the most common expressive trait she has is her ears. When she’s every so slightly annoyed or she thinks we’re being incredibly dense, she puts her ears back. Still up and not flat against her skull like she’s fearful, just, turned backwards. Then, she either stares straight at you with those ears or she sits with her back towards you and pretends to ignore you, usually with the turbo-stump going. She often meows to ask to go out and if we don’t let her out fast enough or at all, she gives us those ears. They’re so common in our house that we’ve been calling them ‘Dammit Ears’.

No treats? Dammit Ears. No out? Dammit Ears. Nasty litterbox? Dammit Ears. Camera in her face? Dammit Ears! It’s even a common phrase in our place. “What’s so funny?” “Oh, her. She’s got her Dammit Ears on again.”I’ll have to get a photo of it sometime.
