RIP: Artie
My obese orange mousie died today. Orange mice have a tendency to become fat and die early, but mice just don’t live that long anyway. I began a year ago with four, lost Summer (who was two years old) about 6 months ago. Mice live about 2 years, so I expect to lose the other two within the next 6-12 months. I now have only two left, Kitty Pryde and Bootsie. I will be quite sad when Bootsie goes, as she is the friendliest and most adventurous.
This reminds me that I’ve been meaning to have a closer look at a book I heard about: Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread.
