I am hired! As a wedding photographer, that is. I’m shooting the wedding of two lesbian women I know. They’re getting married at the end of May, on a farm. It’ll be beautiful! I’ve talked with them a little, but I’m mostly holding off on the planning of the shots until they tell me when they want the formals done. The wedding is at 6pm, so if we do the portraits after the wedding, we might get some good ones without them seeing each other before the wedding. I’ve been a real ‘photographer’ on one other wedding with BrianL, but I never saw any of the pictures from that one. We gave the bride and groom all of the film. The two lesbian women say they love my work though, so I’m thrilled!
This puts me in mind of Tang and Trinny’s wedding. I think they’re found a ‘real’ photographer already. Trinny’s going wedding dress shopping this weekend (without me! *pout*) but says there will be another session later. I hope so. I want to be a photographer for them sometime!
You’re a fantastic photographer – certainly better than I am – so I wouldn’t presume to give you advice. But in case it’s helpful, here’s what little I know about taking portraits:

Scott: I actually read that when you first wrote it. I think you should include something about actually composing the picture. The tirds rule and all that. 🙂
